The company has participated in project execution in the Niger Delta and therefore is sensitive to the restiveness in the area.
The company shall, in pursuant of mutual relationship with project host community, ensure the following:
Establish and maintain cordial relationships with all segments of the local population to better understand their concerns, needs and aspirations.
Continuously assess and abate the social and economic impact of the company project activities and take needed preventive or mitigating measures, such as.
- Respond to formal community request in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Bring relevant issues affecting host community to the attention of the company and client through the Community Liaison Officer.
- Ensures the engagement of local labor from host community. This measure is geared towards erasing agitations of not inclusion from host community.
